Larry Foster founded Foster Insurance Agency as an independent insurance agency in Florence, SC in 1979.  He set out to make his agency different by giving superior customer service.  His simple business philosophy is "to hold my customer's hand."  Larry first became a licensed insurance agent in 1968.

Sarah Foster began working in her father's insurance agency when she was in high school.  She became a licensed insurance agent in 1987.  Prior to becoming an insurance agent, Sarah attended the University of South Carolina and earned degrees in Economics and Marketing.

In 1997, Foster Insurance Agency expanded to North Carolina by opening an office in Wilmington.  In 1998, the North Carolina operation expanded to Brunswick County by purchasing an agency in Shallotte.

Even today, the primary focus of Foster Insurance Agency is giving customers the very best customer service.  At Foster Insurance Agency, "hand holding" is still part of our job.
